Considering the continually high tensions between North and South Korea, the nuclear saber-rattling Friday from Pyongyang, and the fact that the Yellow Sea border with North Korea has been the site of three bloody fights between North and South since 1999, the North would be a likely suspect in the explosion and sinking of a South Korean naval ship late Friday.
