Suffering in the Occupied City of Gori

The medieval city of Gori, a town of about 50,000 people, was occupied on Aug. 11, 2008, when Georgian troops and most residents fled in the face of advancing Russian forces, who had crossed into Georgia from the nearby breakaway region of South Ossetia.
