Republicans Take House in U.S. Midterm Elections

By November 2, 2010

The man who will most likely be the next Speaker of the House, Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), got choked up just now in acknowledging tonight's election sweep. The news is still unfolding as race results are still coming in, and Republicans have also captured the governor's seats in at least seven states. President Barack Obama, who has already been dealing with sinking poll numbers, will address the Republican wave in a press conference tomorrow, then leaves later in the week for a trip to India -- a $200 million a day trip when the White House has come under criticism for not reining in spending.
